Cloudflare Opens Wallet Handle Registration for AI Agents

Summary

Cloudflare has opened Wallet Handle registration through cloudflare.pay for its planned Wallets infrastructure for AI agents. The system is designed to provide readable agent identities and virtual wallets with owner-controlled budgets, spending limits, approved services, and human approval flows. Future capabilities may include purchases of APIs, content, data, and MCP tools through x402 HTTP micropayments. The current service only reserves a name and does not yet provide a funded or generally usable payment wallet. Handles are also not proof of cryptographic identity or ownership of a brand or domain.
