Hydration Proxy Pattern for Stateless LLM APIs
Summary
Joseph Axisa proposes the Hydration Proxy Pattern, an architecture that decouples session persistence and semantic memory from the reasoning engine in enterprise conversational systems. It aims to preserve platform control over conversational data while enabling secure, multi-stage semantic grounding. The paper also introduces a Context Stabilization Mandate to address the tradeoff between sovereign state management and KV caching. The work was presented at the SAO Workshop at ACM CAIS 2026.
