Papiers.ai Expands from an arXiv Interface into a Reading Workspace

Saeejith Nair says he has expanded papiers.ai from an interface focused on arXiv papers into a workspace for everything users read, including material beyond arXiv. The project is based on the view that improving AI writing will produce more worthwhile material to read, including in technical fields such as scientific research, while people’s time and attention will not increase at the same pace. Papiers.ai is intended to help users make sense of more information and learn what matters to them from the items they save, highlight, and share, as well as from the questions they ask. The first step is a desktop app and Chrome extension. They are available for download for Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu. Nair’s earlier workflow allowed users to visit papiers.ai or replace “arXiv” with “papiers” in a paper URL.
