Zhipu MaaS to Introduce Data Non-Retention for Model Calls

Zhipu MaaS says it will soon introduce a data non-retention feature for enterprise and developer users. Under the mechanism, inputs and outputs generated during a model call will be used only to complete that call and will not be stored statically. Any user can apply through the MaaS console, but the activation time and scope will depend on platform confirmation. The option will not cover Batch API or File API functions that require tasks or files to be stored persistently. Zhipu also says data may still be retained for 30 days or longer when required by law or when investigating suspected violations or abuse. The feature therefore offers a privacy-focused choice without removing compliance and risk-control obligations.
