A Local LLM Turns a Vilnius Wall Into a Live AI Party Interface

Summary

A 78-second first test from the 1st Dynamic AI Party shows an interactive projection wall being built at ZOLAK Micro Art Residence in Vilnius. The wall responds to people in the room: cameras detect movement, microphones capture speech, and a local language model decides what appears next. In the footage, words such as “basically,” “crazy,” and “great” reappear as large projected text, while a participant tests whether raising their hands changes the wall’s brightness. The prototype is labelled real output, first test, unedited, and AI-LOOP v0.1. Its processing is distributed across a single local rig. CCTV feeds go to a Coral Edge TPU for person and motion detection; an RTX ADA 2000 with 16 GB of VRAM performs live speech-to-text; and an RTX 3090 with 24 GB of VRAM runs the local LLM. A 32-core CPU decodes streams, composites frames, and feeds a laser projector. This division leaves the larger GPU available for model decisions while the other components handle detection, transcription, and output at party latency. The result is a closed loop in which the room influences the wall and the wall becomes part of the next interaction. The project invites visitors to ZOLAK Micro Art Residence, although its date has not yet been announced.
