Apple Intelligence Siri Settlement Opens Claims for $25-$95 per Eligible iPhone
Summary
A $250 million U.S. class-action settlement over Apple’s advertising of Apple Intelligence and redesigned Siri features is now open for claims. The case alleges that Apple promoted personalized Siri capabilities for the iPhone 16 lineup and Apple Intelligence-compatible iPhone 15 Pro models even though those features did not ship with the phones and were later delayed; Apple denies the allegations and the settlement is not an admission of wrongdoing. U.S. residents who originally purchased one of seven eligible models for personal or business use, rather than resale, between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025 may qualify: iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, and 16e. The settlement sets a starting payment of $25 per eligible device, subject to pro rata adjustment up to $95 or below $25 after valid claims, court-approved fees, expenses, service awards, and administration costs are determined. Claims must be submitted online or postmarked by December 21, 2026; the same date applies to opt-out and objection requests. A receipt or Claim ID is not required, but each claim needs the device serial number or the Apple Account email and phone number associated with it. Businesses may file through an authorized representative and provide a device list. The final approval hearing is scheduled for February 24, 2027, and no payment date has been announced; payments cannot be sent until final approval and any appeals are resolved.
