More Space Gives Terminal Agents a Chalkboard Interface and Avatar
Summary
More Space is a cross-platform desktop app that places a real terminal over an infinite chalkboard for terminal-based agents such as Claude Code, Codex and other tools that can run shell commands. Through an app-only command, an agent can write text, create checklists and flow diagrams, pin images, connect or mark items, frame parts of the board, and ask the user questions with choices, free-text answers or scales. Users can also select an avatar from a cast of characters, each with its own appearance, moods and voice, while sound effects and spoken status messages signal activity or requests for input. The app observes terminal activity and Git-visible file changes, allowing the avatar to react when work is busy, complete, edited or committed. Boards and pinned images are stored in the app’s data directory for each project, and the command is not installed system-wide or written into the project; an image pinned from a URL is downloaded by the app. More Space supports macOS, Windows and Linux, with releases distributed as platform-specific installers. Its documentation covers command groups for boards, avatars, questions and view control, plus multiline shell usage. Builds are currently unsigned, so macOS and Windows may show security warnings during first launch.
