Vibe Session Manager Unifies Claude Code and Codex Sessions on Windows

Summary

Vibe Session Manager is an independent Windows tray application that collects local Claude Code and OpenAI Codex sessions into one list, including sessions associated with different VS Code windows, Cursor instances, command-line sessions, and git worktrees. It displays a traffic-light state for each session: red when Claude Code needs permission or an answer, green while work is in progress, yellow when a turn has finished but has not been read, and grey when no action is needed. Users can double-click a session to open its associated editor window, use Ctrl+Alt+Enter to jump to the most urgent session, search titles, repositories, branches, and conversation text, and organize entries with labels, custom names, and hiding. A separate Time view derives active periods from transcript timestamps, groups them by day, repository, and session, and exports CSV; parallel sessions are counted independently, so totals can exceed time spent at a desk. The app runs on Windows 10 and 11, is distributed as an installer or portable executable, and requires no administrator rights. It makes no network requests or telemetry and reads local Claude, Codex, VS Code, and Cursor data. Optional Claude Code hooks improve red and yellow status detection, while the project documents limitations including Windows-only support, incomplete Codex approval-state detection, reliance on vscode:// links, and possible breakage when undocumented session formats change.
