Open Components Defines UI Standards for Developers and AI Agents

Summary

Open Components is an early initiative that documents quality standards for UI components intended for people, developers, and AI agents. Each component page covers user interface, user experience, developer experience, and agentic experience, then ends with a checklist. Individual rules receive stable IDs such as `button/keep-focus`, plus a level and a way to verify compliance, allowing developers or agents to cite them during code review. Pages are published in Markdown and include a YAML contract that condenses the rules. The project currently covers Button and Input components, along with guidance for naming design tokens. Each component has a tested Vue reference implementation that satisfies the documented rules, while the documentation includes examples for multiple UI frameworks. The project is a ruleset rather than an installable component library, so it can be applied to components built with any framework. More components are planned, and the author is seeking feedback and contributions.
