Talorys Deploys a Private Personal AI Agent in Your Cloudflare Account

Summary

Talorys is a free, open-source personal AI assistant designed to run entirely inside one user's Cloudflare account. It supports streaming chat, editable long-term memories, tasks, notes, projects, one-time and recurring reminders, daily task digests, and optional scheduled AI routines. The application is single-user by design: there are no developer-operated accounts, servers, databases, telemetry, analytics, or advertising, and the installer creates the owner password. Its frontend runs on Cloudflare Pages, while a private Worker and a Cloudflare Agents SDK Durable Object handle authentication, API requests, SQLite-backed data, and scheduling alarms. Workers AI provides streaming responses and tool calling through the @cf/zai-org/glm-4.7-flash model, while the browser reaches the agent through a Pages service binding rather than a public Worker URL. The `npx create-talorys@latest` installer checks Node.js and Cloudflare access, creates resources and secrets, deploys the application, and verifies the deployment. The project is intended to fit Cloudflare's free plan, but account quotas and Workers AI's daily allocation can change, and paid-plan usage may incur charges. If AI becomes unavailable or its quota is exhausted, non-AI features continue to work. Talorys also includes backup and import tools, password reset and update commands, adjustable AI guardrails, and a local development mode with a deterministic mock provider.
