Agent Standup Turns Claude Code Sessions into Live Team Meetings

Summary

Agent Standup is a free, open-source tool that presents a Claude Code session as a live team meeting. A lead agent gives instructions while sub-agents join, share their screens, execute real commands, report progress, and leave; the interface shows who is waiting on whom and which agents are blocked. It can display terminal output, editor diffs, the relationship tree between agents, context and token indicators, replay and recap views, video, voices, and user-defined characters. The tool runs through a small local server and can be accessed from a VS Code extension, a VSIX installation in Cursor, Windsurf, or VSCodium, a terminal command, a standalone macOS desktop app for Apple Silicon or Intel, a Claude Code status line, or tmux. It also works without an editor through `npx @double_geste/agent-standup --open`. Setup requires that Claude Code has been used on the machine at least once. The project says it is primarily for fun but can be useful for observing real agent work, and supports eight languages. A native JetBrains plugin is not yet available.
