Mana Launches a Family Organizer with an AI Assistant and MCP Support
Summary
Mana is a household organizer for families, roommates, caregivers, and other shared circles, combining calendars, grocery lists, chores, meal planning, notes, and recipes in one service. Its built-in assistant accepts natural-language requests, links related changes across the schedule and shopping list, and provides a daily briefing. The service separates private household conversations from shared threads and from invited circles, such as grandparents, caregivers, roommates, or carpools. Mana says each person has a private space that household owners, guardians, and administrators cannot open, while children and dependents can use accounts with parent-approved guardrails. The assistant can draft plans and coordinate items, but it asks for confirmation before consequential actions such as deleting shared items or changing circle access; reversible changes support Undo. Mana also works offline and syncs changes when connectivity returns, with conflicting edits not silently discarded. Through the open Model Context Protocol, users can connect Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another MCP client to inspect lists, add tasks, and plan meals. Connected agents can read and add information, but cannot delete items or post on the user’s behalf, and access can be revoked in Settings. The web app is live, with iOS and Android versions available, and the company says current features are free.
