Commit-Aware Router Directs LLM Traffic Around Enterprise AI Commitments
Summary
Commit-Aware Router is an early proof of concept for routing large language model traffic according to an enterprise’s current AI commitments. The project addresses prepaid AI credits, minimum-spend agreements, cloud commitments, and commercial spending ceilings across providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS, and Azure. It is designed to consider those commitments alongside conventional routing variables such as price and performance. The stated goal is to help organizations meet contractual or financial minimums without exceeding their negotiated limits. Built with LiteLLM, the project is aimed at CFOs, strategic finance and FinOps teams, cloud finance groups, and AI platform operators. The project is presented as an early PoC, and its creator is asking the community for feedback rather than reporting production results or a formal evaluation.
