Call for Stories on Human–AI Collaboration in Mathematics

Summary

A guest post by Deanna Needell and Hayden Schaeffer on Terence Tao’s blog says AI systems are increasingly involved in mathematical discoveries and that several recent preprints describe results reached with their help. The authors emphasize that these outcomes often depend on a partnership among human insight, mathematical expertise, earlier research, and new AI capabilities. They are seeking contributions from mathematicians who participated in such work or whose earlier ideas and research helped make it possible. Examples may include developing prior research, checking or refining arguments, connecting results with existing literature, or contributing to related projects. Contributors are asked to begin with a short note describing their involvement and the related work. Messages sent to the listed email address will remain confidential, and no material will be used, quoted, or attributed without explicit consent.
