Zeabur Shuts Down AI Hub and Refunds Unused Balances

Summary

Zeabur has officially discontinued AI Hub after shutting it down as a defensive measure following a security incident confirmed on August 28. Existing API keys can no longer be used to send model requests through the service. The company said a review of AI Hub’s ongoing maintenance costs, operational risks, and security risks led it to conclude that continuing the service no longer fit its product direction. Unused paid balances were reconciled against payment and usage records and returned to users as Zeabur Credit on September 22, 2026, with no action required for eligible users. Zeabur said it will contact users individually about returned amounts, while accounts requiring additional confirmation may receive separate follow-up. Users who prefer cash can open a ticket with Zeabur Support to request conversion of the returned balance into a cash refund. Zeabur said it will carry lessons from AI Hub into future products and services.
