Diogenes Launches a Multi-Protocol Payment Gateway for AI Agents

Summary

Diogenes is an AI agent gateway and Model Context Protocol (MCP) server designed to provide pay-per-request access without accounts, API keys, or subscriptions. It accepts Bitcoin Lightning L402 payments, Solana x402 payments, and Base EVM MPP payments, using HTTP 402 challenges and, for Lightning, BOLT11 preimage verification. The gateway exposes a streamable JSON-RPC MCP endpoint for Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Antigravity, plus plugins for ElizaOS, LangChain, and CrewAI and a zero-dependency Python SDK. Its catalog includes agent guardrails, smart-contract auditing, JSON repair, web and deep-research services, token and MEV risk checks, embeddings, code execution, and other microservices; the repository presents 35 services in its directory. It also lists payable routes for agent, research, computer-use, text-generation, video, music, image, robotics, search, and maps capabilities, with prices denominated mainly in satoshis or USDC. Each endpoint offers a demo mode for local testing without spending funds. The project publishes MCP, OpenAPI, LLM crawler, L402, and Nostr discovery manifests and is released under the MIT License.
