Blueprints AI is an AI drafting system for developers, architecture firms and design-build companies. It accepts plain-language descriptions, sketches, site photos, PDFs, point-cloud data and existing design files, then generates construction documents intended to support permitting. The company says the system can produce coordinated architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, Title 24 energy, fire and life-safety, and interior sheets; civil and landscape generation is offered on Enterprise plans. It is trained using architectural and engineering data, building codes, permit sets, design patterns and construction documents, and can be configured with a firm’s standards, past projects and local jurisdiction comments. Blueprints AI says it applies rules including IBC, IFC, NFPA, ADA and selected local codes, while warning that zoning requirements vary and should be checked during design. Users can request revisions conversationally, upload markups, or export to CAD or BIM, with the system maintaining project context and updating the document set. Onboarding takes about two weeks for firm-specific tuning, and generation time varies with project complexity and server load; the company claims projects can be delivered up to 10 times faster than manual drafting, but says the figure is illustrative rather than guaranteed. Project files are described as encrypted in transit and at rest, with enterprise on-premise options. The company does not offer a free trial, and says licensed architects or engineers must review and seal documents when required before permit submission; Blueprints AI does not replace professional responsibility.
